We exist to serve those in need right here at home. We are not a government agency. Instead, we rely on the generosity of local individuals, companies and foundations for the financial support required to maintain our ongoing disaster response, safety training, disaster preparedness and the many individual / family services provided daily in our community. Our dedicated volunteers work daily helping local families recovering from disaster with a blanket and warm hug. Your support will make an impact on our community.

EMERGENCY FOOD ON SITE RESPONSE TEMPORARY SHELTER
When a family is forced from their home following a disaster, the Red Cross helps them to secure resources, temporary shelter, food and clothing, to begin the recovery process. Last year, Red Cross volunteer assisted 923 families in the Central Valley .

The importance of preparedness during a disaster can save a life. Last year, we trained 47,867 individuals in the Central Valley through our offices in Fresno , Visalia and Merced .

EMERGENCY COMMUNICATION DEPLOYMENT BRIEFING FAMILY SUPPORT
The first mission of the American Red Cross was serving our military service-members. One hundred and twenty-five years later, we still provide emergency communication, pre and post deployment briefings, and family support for our local service members. Last year, our volunteers helped 4,766 military families in the Central Valley .
