Basic Water Rescue Course

Lean how to prevent and respond to emergencies in a variety of water environments without endangering yourself.  This class involves classroom and in pool time, although you do not need to be a strong swimmer.  Children under 14 are welcome to participate, but must do so along with a parent or guardian.  This course meet the State requirements for group/foster/adoptive homes & families. 

Class includes:  Classroom discussion, video, pool skills, & exam

What to bring:  pen/pencil & note-taking materials, swimsuit & towel, sunscreen, snacks

Location:  Fig Garden Swim & Racquet Club, 4722 N. Maroa, 3 blocks south of Shaw.

Certification eligibility: must attend complete course, successfully demonstrate all pool skills, and pass written exam with 80% or better; classes with less than 6 registered may be postponed to later date.
